Huge updates for this mini-site

Quick little update on the status of this website. As you may have discovered, previously there was quite a lot of content missing from each device section. Lee has been such an animal with releasing so many ROMs/Kernels on so many devices, that it’s been tough for me to keep track and update the website on my own free time.
This has recently been (somewhat) resolved however, as I have spent the night back-filling data for each device. Change Logs have been updated (along with exact release dates), as well as FAQ and device “home” pages. Note that I still need to visually clean up the content, but it’s there for the most part. Also, many thanks go out to breinholst, s300pmu1, and anderl78 from XDA for writing the FAQs.
In the future will come a better, cleaner design of each section, as well as RSS feeds for the Change Log which will make it easy to add to your favourite RSS reader and get instant notification of Lee’s releases. We’re also looking for more content editors, specific to each device. Basically forming a real team of contributors which would help to relieve Lee of the upkeep involved with maintaining a concise ROM database. Please contact me via PM (scar45 on XDA), and let me know what you’re interested in contributing (we have a login area for content management).
Otherwise, I hope everyone likes v2.0 of LeeDrOiD.com, and please stay tuned to the News section/homepage for more!
Jailbreaking and rooting could soon become illegal again, unless you act now.

Back in July of 2010 the US government ruled that jailbreaking and rooting weren’t a crime as long as the intention behind them isn’t circumventing copyright.
The ruling is set to expire soon and unless renewed, jailbreaking and rooting of smartphones will become illegal once again.
An organization called the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) has issued a petition that anyone can sign – the idea is to get enough objective opinions in favor of renewing the ruling. The EFF also wants to add tablets to the agreement.
You can find all the details on the source link below. Keep in mind that signing up to renew the agreement closes on February 10.
Whether jailbreaking is legal or illegal may not matter much to the end user, but not voting for legalization would surely put all the hard-working devs outside the law.

LeeDrOiD.com v2.0 is now LiVE!

Hello fellow LeeDrOiD’ers out there! George aka ‘scar45’ aka LeeDrOiD.com Admin speaking here.
As you’ve probably noticed by now, we have upgraded leedroid.com to a new version which supports all of the devices that Lee has created ROMs for. While the goal has been to amalgamate everything onto this site, it’s been quite hard because I (personally) don’t have all of the 5 devices that Lee has.
You’ll notice that there are probably some missing sections/content on this site, as well as the “(*beta)” tag in the top-right corner. To fix this, we’re asking for your help. I have been involved with Lee since the early Classic Desire days, and it’s hard enough keeping up with all of the activity/mods/tweaks/FAQs/etc. for one device, so we’re looking for other elite LeeDrOiD contributors to help out.
There is still some work that needs to be done to the site infrastructure, but we have to start somewhere right? If you’re interested, please comment on this post and leave some examples of the LeeDrOiD contributions you’ve made. If you prefer to keep things a bit more private, then please message me on XDA-Developers and I will get back to you there.
Hope everyone likes the new design so far! It’s based off of the original one for nostalgia’s sake, but it will continue to get better!
P.S. – As I do this for Lee’s benefit out of my own pocket, I have put an ad to the hosting company which I run in hopes of getting some support. If you or your family/friends are in need of personalized, premium hosting, please have a look. Also, there are donation links to Lee and myself if you have no hosting needs at the moment. Sorry for this note, but giving back what you can is NOT required, but very VERY much appreciated by Lee and myself. Thanks in advance for your generosity!
